Narvik is a city and municipality in Nordland county in Norway, and is located by the Ofotfjorden. The city is known for its strategically important location as an important port for iron ore from Kiruna in Sweden during the Second World War.

Today, Narvik is an important trading center for Northern Norway, and has a growing tourism industry due to its unique geographical area and proximity to Lofoten and Vesterålen. Narvik also has a very popular ski center known as Narvikfjellet.
